The student and I spent the first half of the session working through the bio/ biochem section on his most recent practice test. We regularly took tangents into content lessons as they came up during our review. One area we spent a large amount of time in was immunology, discussing the role of several different immune cells and the structure and function of antibodies. After this, we moved on to CARS practice, taking our time to discuss general passage and question strategy and deliberately work through the logic behind each correct answer choice. We will meet in one week to review his next practice test that he will be taking this weekend.

Today the student and I used the rule for IIED and discussed the elements of the rule. Then we came up with a fact pattern, and using that fact pattern we practiced "issue spotting" by first identifying what were facts - what did we know from the fact pattern? Then we took those facts and practiced identifying legally material facts - in other words, what facts would be relevant to proving or disproving the rule? Finally, the student spent some time drafting an IRAC and we discussed how to improve her IRAC.
