"The student and I covered topics specifically related to her exam tomorrow. There were definitely some topics that she needed to go over before her exam, although after going over them, she picked up quickly on the concepts, and we were able to go on to other parts that were related to the exam."
"The student and I derived the equations for the sum of interior and exterior angles of polygons. We also used given information to find the number of sides, the sum of the interior angles, individual interior angles, and individual exterior angles. We did these problems using givens from diagrams or word problems."
"The student and I did a quick review for his test tomorrow. We started going over the quiz, particularly the vocabulary. We went over the proof he did correctly, and I showed him a different way he can do it using the equidistant theorems he learned. We then did some practice problems, focusing on the last sections of the test. We went over parallel lines and finding the value of x, and then we went over an equidistant proof, which he did a good job with. Overall, he felt confident about the test, and I think he does have a good understanding of the topics."
"The student and I did a review of drawing altitudes and medians of triangles. She is better at this than she thinks!"
"The student and I did a review of her previous test. We addressed the issue with each question in order to understand how to approach them in the future, and especially on the upcoming final exam. The topics included exponential and logarithmic functions, both calculations and graphing."
"The student and I did many different problems from her book to get her ready for her upcoming test. She was organized and knew which problems were a struggle for her, which is very impressive. We discussed what our plan of attack would be to get the answer for each question, and then she would do the problem to find the right answer. She realizes she needs to make a list of the formulas for her use on the test. She made several errors in computation, which gave her the wrong answer. I had to correct her a number of times on it. This was a great time to practice the process for getting the right answer. She needs to be very careful when she is taking the test so she will catch any errors she might make. I gave her a few hints as to how she can check her work to make sure she has done it properly."
