"In today's session, she worked on practice problems for the upcoming ISEE lower level. We noticed some differences in some of the math terms. She did well on the practice, even when she said she was just guessing. She would like to work on more X facts for future lessons."
"We finished the student's work on forces, circular motion, and orbits. He was able to solve the problems independently by the end, using the method of drawing vector diagrams before any equations. I think he will do well on the quiz this afternoon."
"I think the student is set up well to score a 30 or higher on his ACT. His math score was already high (29) and he has improved his strategy and speed. He has vastly improved his English performance by incorporating ACT grammar rules and answer elimination strategies. He has improved reading by taking notes and speed reading. Finally, his science practice has improved through annotating passages."
"The student did really well today! We worked on reading and I think he is getting better with his process of elimination skills to use the wrong answers to find the right one. His homework is to finish up a math test and send the results to me."
"We covered logic games and logical reasoning; the student stated that he struggles most with grouping and combination games. We worked on finding the correct strategy to use for each question type - one of the areas the student struggles in is being able to come up with possible diagrams when there are a lot of options to choose from. I am sending more games to work on this week and an essay for him to try."
