Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student continued practicing for the upcoming assessment. He completed two practice sets then focused on writing a short story. We focused specifically on composing a short story by describing a problem and discussing how the character resolves the issue. I then assigned him to write a journal entry of at least one page every Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, he may write more entries during the week if he can find the time. I believe this may help him to be able to write more freely and quickly in other settings."
"Today we reviewed the student's persuasive essay and different approaches on writing it effectively. I can see the progress in his writing skills as he can organize his thoughts and put it in writing. He still needs to work on spelling and grammar. We also covered lessons on different types of sentences (e.g.; imperative, interrogative, exclamatory, and declarative). He was also asked to identify the different aspects of paragraph writing. Homework was given on singular and plural noun and a narrative prompt essay."
"We reviewed nouns, verbs and pronouns. We practiced identifying them in sentences and replacing nouns with pronouns. It was a productive session."
