Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I did a packet of spectra problems and finished with some review. He was quite proficient and showed a lot of improvement from our first session when we last covered it."
"Today we took an in depth look at electrophilic aromatic substitution. We discussed the mechanism, the formation of activated complexes, and the resonance effects that influence the rates of the reaction for different substrates. The student seemed to have a good understanding of theses concepts. We also reinforced concepts such as E1 and addition reactions. We plan on meeting on Monday."
"After having scored a perfect score on her last test, the student has moved into a new chapter on solutions. She reviewed and worked on problems involving solvents, solute, concentration, molarity, figuring out which compound would be soluble, insoluble, electrolytes, strong/weak non electrolytes. She had no trouble understanding any of the material and working out and setting up the homework problems."
