"Today the we worked on a thorough review of all the concepts covered to date in passe compose, including creating the past tense forms of known and unknown regular verbs that take avoir, and with all three endings. I then did the same and helped the student review verbs that take etre, including a few essential irregular verbs for his first introduction to irregular verbs in the passe compose. He was much more fluent with his past tense this time, and had little difficulty with the basic grammar. I continue to test the student and his flexibility by playing with sentence structure and phrasing while reinforcing the past tense. I am also simultaneously introducing new vocabulary, expressions, and idioms. He is doing very well and continues to be very accurate and observant."
