Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I had our final session today. We worked on a review of the math and verbal portions of the test. We reviewed antonyms, synonyms, analogies, slope, perpendicular and parallel lines, probability, number sequences and so much more for the math portion. The session went well, and this was my last session with her. It has been an absolute pleasure to work with her, and I am glad to have been given this opportunity. She seems to be very well prepared for her test on Saturday."
"The student and I covered double-angle formulas mostly, and a few other general rules of trigonometry. She was having some issues with applying the formulas and carrying out the algebra, so we went over that in detail. Her attitude was great. I look forward to working more with these concepts and seeing her improve."
"We finished reviewing roots, and then the student blew me away with his vocabulary retention! Really phenomenal. He knows to continue the vocabulary practice and to complete another timed SSAT practice test for our next session."
"The student and I continued working on advanced quant. She has all of the advanced quant problems, and is sending me scans of the same chapter."
"Today, the student and I worked on study skills for science (cells). We discussed the process of cell organization. He was eager to understand the concept and clear up and misconceptions he had about cells, tissue, and organs."
"We worked on both physical science and biology diagnostics today. Topics included, enantiomers vs diastereomers vs structural isomers, parallel and series circuits, capacitors, dielectrics, mesocompounds, torque, angular velocity, centripetal force, etc."
