Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we continued reviewing for the student's exam and went back through her review packet. She was struggling a bit but we managed to go through the problem areas from her last few tests and review them to make sure that she was able to do those."
"Conducted test corrections to latest quiz. We noticed in the corrections the student circled the correction answer first and then changed answer for three questions. In addition, there was some confusion with multi-step problems and focus on the wording in the questions. We focused on quantum numbers and sublevels. We also reviewed valence electrons and charges per the student's request for clarity. We also conducted a review of periodic trends that involve ionization energy, atomic radius size, and electronegativity."
"This week, the student and I covered DNA replication, transcription and translation in great detail. As our first session, we spent a few minutes discussion goals and objectives for our time together but then jumped right in and were able to accomplish a lot! By the end of our session, she was able to explain the difference between mRNA and tRNA, the lagging and leading strands of DNA, and how some of the key enzymes work in order to achieve this process. Next week we will be focusing on newly presented material before her test. I feel that our time was really productive and I look forward to working with her in the future."
