The student and I started reviewing the next few chapters that she is covering in class, and we were able to outline and review the learning objectives for chapter 9 covering contracts and the components of a contract, contract types, contract law under common (court) based law vs. the UCC - Article 2 (code) law, and contract variations referring to quasi contracts and promissory estoppel. We were also able to review most of chapter 10 related to the agreement and offer component of a contract, offer requirements (e.g. intent, specific terms, and direct communication from the offeror to the offeree), advertising (as an invitation to negotiate) vs. forms of offers (e.g. auctions), and reasons why termination may occur or not occur.
