Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We did chemistry today. The student feels so comfortable with "train tracks" (dimensional analysis) that she helped explain it to the class! So, we did more dimensional analysis with molarity and then also some mass volume percent questions. She is really doing well at understanding her chemistry."
"We did more review for the student's upcoming test. The topics included angles and chords in circles, proportions in triangles, and right triangle trig. The student will study the theorems using the graphic organizer we discussed as well as practicing online."
"We discussed alternate interior angles and vertical angles created by the diagonals of a parallelogram, and we used them to prove that certain pairs of line segments in a parallelogram are congruent."
"We discussed dilations, translations, reflections, and rotations of figures from the origin and with respect to certain points. We covered slope intercept form and solving for y, m, x, and b. We also covered midpoint and distance formula."
"We discussed sine, cosine, and tangent, and how to use them to calculate missing sides of right triangles. The student was in good spirits. His grades are slowly pulling up, but I'd like them to move up faster, so I'm sending him some extra practice now."
"We discussed the student's current work in geometry on points, lines, and planes and did some exercises to cement his learning. We also reviewed some of the content that he had covered in the previous chapter and put together a review assignment to help keep it fresh in his mind."
