Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"In this session we covered limiting reagents, percent yield, and theoretical yield. I also supplied the student with extra problems from other chemistry courses."
"We reviewed drawing Lewis structures for the student's upcoming quiz. We worked through problems in his textbook together. We then briefly talked about enthalpy of reactions and how to calculate it for a given chemical equation."
"For Chemistry, we covered Gibbs free energy, spontaneity, and exergonic vs. endergonic. We also went into Enthalpy, and into endothermic vs. exothermic. Last, we went over entropy's phase changes and change in moles. The student has homework with all of this."
"The student learned the electron shell structures covered in his class and most of the exceptions. He is picking up the new parts easily. There are a lot of details involved in shell structure, so he will need to remember them for tests."
"We reviewed acid and base neutralization and Colligative Properties. We did examples from her worksheets, and then I added a few examples to further explain each topic. The student is doing well with the material and is able to complete most of her assignment without assistance."
"We covered his electrochemistry test review handout. The problems included understanding galvanic cell, picking adequate electrolyte reactants, redox reactions, and oxidation states. He has a tough chemistry teacher, but I think that the handout helped him to understand."
