I'm super passionate about writing and the humanities and am pumped to share that passion with you! My own tutor had such a powerful impact on my education and improved my relationship with learning. I am so grateful for all his support and I hope to pass on that same passion for learning to others as he did to me! I've loved writing since I was in elementary school and have followed that love all the way to college. My high school didn't offer AP courses but it was a college-prep level school. I often took two English classes per trimester, such as Post-Colonial Literature, Shakespearen Literature, and Asian Diaspora Literature. In college I applied for and was accepted into the Advanced First-Year Writing class, and was able to declare a major in English. My second major is History, in which I gained a recent interest in. I love comprehensive reading and writing and felt drawn to the intersections of English and History. I excelled in my history classes in both college and high school and have a particular love for World History. I've written extensive research papers on a variety of subjects such as the Munich Agreement, American Sinophobia, and economic relations between Palestine and Israel. In terms of other previous experience, I have served as a volunteer tutor teaching grammar. In high school I also helped other students edit essays for classes and college applications. I find it most important to help students remain positive and confident because ultimately that is the best way to learn anything!
