I am a graduate of Oklahoma Wesleyan University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Secondary English Education, with foci in music, grammar and editing, and literature. I'm an avid Christian and believe in kindness in my teaching. I have taught English, public speaking, and reading for personal pleasure at my local high school. While I can tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about English and--surprisingly--lower level math like algebra and geometry. In my experience helping struggling students with homework, we always seem to have the most fun bonding over frustrating assignments and learning how to solve problems creatively. Because I'm not an OFFICIAL math person, I'm good at explaining it in ways kids might be able to connect with, differently than they might get from a math teacher. I love education, communication, and learning, and I believe all three are absolutely necessary for high quality of life.
