I am a graduate of West Texas A&M University with a bachelors degree in general studies with a focus on the Spanish language. I am happily married and have 2 children in high school. I have experience in the education system as both a paraprofessional and a high school teacher. As a paraprofessional, I assisted ESL students learning English in different core subjects. I later became a certified high school Spanish teacher and taught Spanish 1-3 for 6 years. Throughout my assisting and teaching, I was able to find ways to connect with students so that they were able to feel more comfortable learning a new language and becoming confident. While I was in high school, I also had the opportunity to help adults learn English as a second language.
As a college students, I helped struggling middle school and high school students as a tutor in different subjects. Language is fun and learning a new language can be so empowering. I wish to share that with all of my students.
