I am a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Agriculture & Natural Resources, and an M.A. in Curriculum & Instruction. Since graduating I have spent the last 6 years teaching. I have taught grades 5-12 but have a strong preference for the middle school age group (my current position). Courses I have taught include horticulture, natural resources, earth science, woodshop, veterinary science, STEM engineering and more, but my primary focus is integrated science. I enjoy using my agricultural experience to generate real-life examples of science and math concepts so students can truly apply their learning. My goal is to help all students find joy and success in learning through engaging lessons, visuals, and some humor sprinkled in.
