I am currently completing a double major in Mathematics and Biology along with a minor in Chemistry at Pacific University of Oregon. I have enjoyed these subjects for as long as I can remember and have always helped out my friends when they were having trouble. Now in college, I work as a tutor in the Center for Learning and Student Success and give official help to my peers. I have found that sciences always seem to be taught in the same structure which makes it difficult since everybody learns differently. By being a tutor, I love working with the learner to find what works best for them, then seeing the following face of amazement when it all clicks into place. Over the years it has been a joy to learn and I am excited to spread that same joy to many others.

Hobbies

It always seems that one of my favorite hobbies is finding a new one. At the moment I am trying to learn how to do a handstand as well as keep a yoga routine. Other things I enjoy doing include soccer, video games, going into the outdoors and especially playing spikeball. Whenever I have a lot of downtime, I like to grab a new science fiction/fantasy novel. I hope that I get to learn to do a lot more new things that push me beyond my limits both physically and mentally.
