I am a current student at Arizona State University attending online. I am working towards a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a focus on writing. I am also working towards a minor in History. When I started at ASU, I joined the newsletter associated with the Online Student Government Advocacy Group named The Spark. I joined as a writer but was quickly asked to become Head Writer as we were rebranding.

Now, we are a full-fledged club, who has seceded from the student government and named ourselves the official newsletter of the online student community. I have a position on the Board of Directors and have been retitled as Director of Writers. In my position I mentor and tutor my writers to write to the best of their ability.

I have private tutoring experience where I tutored Reading Comprehension and Essay Writing for high school students. My main passion is writing, and I love to mentor and tutor students in essay writing or creative writing. I am well versed in grammar and rhetoric, as well as writing style and flow within an essay. I can help with admission essays to homework help for all ages.

My tutoring style is one that focuses on building confidence in a student. I believe that if a student has confidence in themselves and the work they produce, they will be able to exceed expectations. I discover what a student does well, in the subject they are struggling in. I can build from that knowledge and assure them of their capability to succeed. Most students know more than they are aware, but wrestle with the grades they have received. By building on their initial knowledge, I can improve their understanding.
