I am a graduate of Pacific University. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music with a focus in music education. I am currently earning a Master of Music in Music Education at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. I have taught for four years in both public schools and community-based programs teaching music education, but I also have experience tutoring in math and English. I am most passionate about teaching English and writing. They have always been my favorite subjects in school, and I enjoy helping others learn these subjects. I also get to learn about the creativity of my students when teaching these subjects. I am a firm proponent of student-centered education where the needs of the student comes first. In my spare time I enjoy reading, creative writing, and exploring new places.
