For the last six years, I have worked in a Montessori program as a lead and assistant teacher working with ages that vary from one-year-olds to high school level students. I am currently getting my degree in English Language and Literature. I have a strong passion for literature and helping students connect with the literature in their personal lives. Teaching the many subjects that fall under the English category are the subjects that I enjoy the most. I think that helping students connect with literature through analysis and discussions helps students become passionate about reading. I also enjoy teaching English basics such as phonics, reading, and effective essay writing.
By working in a Montessori program I have become passionate about student-led lessons and paying close attention to what helps students learn and become excited about learning. I believe in forming healthy and strong bonds with students, I believe that when students become comfortable with their educators it creates a safe and effective learning environment.
Working with a wide age range of students has been my favorite part of my education journey. I believe that adults learn new things from students every day and it becomes beneficial for both student and teacher. I am looking forward to working with students of any age to help them succeed on their own education journeys!
