I am a graduate of the University of New Mexico. I received my BA in Music and a minor in History. After graduation I taught ESL in Korea for over 2 years in both Cheong-Ju and Bundong South Korea. I worked with both kindergarten age and adult student learners. After my time in Korea I worked with ESL adult learners in Puebla Mexico as a freelance ESL teacher. The Highlight (so far!) of my career as an ESL instructor was working as a First Grade ESL teacher at the SMIC School in Shanghai China. After returning to the States I resumed work as a freelance instructor specializing in Oral communication and pronunciation improvement. I am passionate about helping my students improve both their pronunciation and communication skills in English. I know from first hand experience how nerve wracking communicating in another language can be and how much of a struggle it can be to learn one. I strive to create as relaxed an environment as possible to help alleviate nervous students and to give them the confidence they need to speak in public. Outside of class my interests include exploring art on Instagram and playing Smash bros on Nintendo Switch.
