I am in the last semester of my doctoral degree in Education from Grand Canyon University. I have received two master's degrees: an MBA-Finance and a MA in Adult Education. My undergraduate was in Nursing Science. I have been tutoring students for over thirty years preparing each to pass Standardized tests for entry into a healthcare profession. Being the only child and coming from a very poor environment I learned the opportunities that having an education can provide for you and your family. Education improved the quality of my life and my family. As a creative and innovative educator, leader, and professional Administrator, I thrive on challenges and change. Nurturing and encouraging the lifelong learning of students is critical in the role of an educator. Techniques like case studies, activities, discussions, and even humor can prompt students to think critically, creatively, and explore their natural curiosity. As an educator, students will feel that no question is too silly to ask. My educational beliefs are based on the fact that learning is a possibility for everyone. Learning occurs when the educator is able to link, in the brain, a bridge from the lack of knowledge to new knowledge, then the student comprehends.
