I am a culturally responsive professional trainer who believes that every working professional minimally deserves guidance, support, respect, and encouragement. My approach is mainly individual-centered, strategy-based, and growth-focused because I believe we are all lifelong learners and carry within us a reservoir of untapped potential. As a yoga teacher, I learned that it is important to meet students where they are at, and in doing so, empower and equip them to confidently own their self-development journey.
I use a variety of practical study methods in order to provide students a structured, sustainable study plan that will help them pass the CAPM certification exam. I will start with developing a personalized study timeline, review chapter highlights and practice exam questions, and provide other studying hacks such as SQ3R Method, Feynman Technique, Cornell note-taking, mind-mapping, and much more. Congratulations on taking the first step towards CAPM certification! I am grateful to join you in your career advancement journey.
I am a certified associate project manager (CAPM) possessing 5+ years of managing complex projects ranging from content development to restaurant development. My recent work experience has been providing project management support to small business owners, including overseeing video productions for content marketing, implementing program management infrastructure for turnkey real estate projects, and planning yoga and wellness events. I previously worked with Panda Restaurant Group, the parent company of Panda Express, starting as an admin in training and development and working my way towards program coordinator in restaurant development. Outside of work, I taught yoga for 7 years up until the pandemic forced yoga studios to shut down.
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Chapman University in Orange, CA majoring in Communications Studies. I was very active in undergrad volunteering as a reporter for The Panther student newspaper, fundraising coordinator for the Hawai'i Club, and even sang with the Chapman Women's Choir. Growing up my parents encouraged extra-curricular activities deeming them just as important as general education. My parents were right having these fun activities is so important to my well-being and happiness now as an adult 12 years into the workforce. That is why I became a certified yoga instructor so I can teach yoga outside of work hours and dance hula on the weekends.
