I love meeting people and introducing them to the practical application of philosophy and critical thinking skills to everyday life! Did you know that philosophy majors on average score the highest scores on the GRE exam? They also score very high on the LSAT, MCAT, and GMAT exams?
I'm an extrovert, but at the same time a very good listener. I have the ability to ask pertinent questions to help me understand the issues that the student is struggling with.
Over the past 22+ years, I have taught philosophy-related courses in three countries. As a result, I've had the opportunity to adapt successfully my teaching methods to a variety of students from diverse ethnic backgrounds. My teaching style encourages active vs. passive learning.
Philosophy is all about the love of wisdom, the pursuit of truth, and the development of confidence one gains in the process! I personally have a passion to pursue these goals and also assist students in reaching them!
My credentials include include a PhD in philosophy (University College Dublin, Ireland), MA in bioethics (Trinity Graduate School), MA in philosophy (University of Denver), and MA in philosophy of religion (Denver Seminary).
