I am a current first-year student at New York University who is planning to major in Politics and/or International Relations. I grew up overseas, graduating from an American K-12 school in Taipei, Taiwan. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy photography, drawing, traveling, and interior design.
As someone who believes that learning is a collaborative process, I believe that students should be able to receive supportive and personalized assistance whenever needed in their education. In the past, I have worked with middle schoolers as a speechwriting and public speaking mentor and greatly enjoyed being able to encourage them in their learning.
I am available to tutor English/Reading/Creative Writing (Elementary School, Middle School, High School, ESL, and ACT), as well as Test Prep, Study Skills, and Public speaking, being a longtime extracurricular public speaker myself. I've always had an interest and passion for teaching languages and I am able to understand the unique perspective that multilingualism can create being raised in an international environment myself.
I believe that learning should be an enjoyable process and will be patient and supportive of whichever learning style works best for my studentsI will make sure to include them in lesson planning so that we can choose the most productive method of studying for them.
