I attended Yale University where I earned a BA in History with a focus on ancient European civilizations. I am a retired computer programmer. Once upon a time, I taught debate and computer science in high school.

I have two children: My oldest son graduated from Colorado School of Mines last year. My youngest son is a senior at Rice University double majoring in economics and math. When they were in elementary school, I volunteered as a tutor in their classes. Currently, I manage my family's farm.

For my entire adult life, writing has been an important creative pursuit. I have written poetry, plays, fiction, and screenplays. Several of my projects have have received public readings or placed in competitions.
