I am a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University, receiving a B.A., and later an M.A. and an M.Div. I attended a language school in San Jose, Costa Rica for 6 months, and recently completed a TEFL certification for teaching English as a foreign language. I have been teaching in different capacities for most of my life, including 17 years and counting at Mid-South Christian College, 5 years teaching English to children in China, and helping homeschool our 4 children. While I tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most interested in Spanish, English, and reading. I love working with people of all ages and helping them to develop their interests and their potential through encouragement, guidance, and a varied approach. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, reading, and watching a good movie.

I enjoy a variety of things, like walking (especially nature trails), swimming, reading, playing the guitar and singing, going out to eat with my family, watching TV, participating in a small group with the church, traveling with my family, listening to music, audiobooks, and history podcasts.
