I strive to help others understand curriculum in a way that best suits their personal style. From my own personal experience, I know hard it can be to grasp a topic when you are sitting in front of an instructor who is teaching in a style that doesn't match your learning needs. Specifically, when I was in high school and taking an AP Chemistry course, I struggled when it came to learning the curriculum because the teacher had a more "just listen and look at what I do" teaching style, compared to what I preferred, which was a more hands on approach. My goal is to accommodate my way of teaching to match a person's preferred learning style. I believe this will allow he/she to better understand what is being taught.
I'm a freshman in college. I am currently working on my bachelors degree in Asian Studies with a minor in English. My goal is to move to Japan and teach English or become an interpreter.
My favorite subject to tutor on is English, but more specifically on writing essays. Writing essays has something I have always excelled in, so I feel comfortable helping others with writing.
