I got my undergraduate degree from Duke University in 2019 in biology with a minor in chemistry. I was on the first softball team at Duke University as well! After graduating I got my master's degree in biomedical sciences. I also got my EMT certification and worked in the hospital and as a 911 responder during the pandemic. I took my MCAT, got above a 515, and I'm applying to medical school!
Appropriately, I tutor in biology and chemistry. I can also tutor pre-algebra and algebra, basic spanish and other elementary fields.
I grew up with four younger sisters and the youngest is 13 years younger than me! My family has taught me so much about working with and connecting with young kids.
Having a softball background, I coached kids younger than me from the time I was 13. I loved giving back and connecting with those who needed me. I worked as an instructor at a hitting facility giving instruction to kids age 6-19. I also tutored during my master's program.
My approach is very learner-based. How do YOU learn best? What are YOU struggling with the most? How can we make the most of YOUR time? How can we specialize this lesson to fit YOUR needs, skills and learning style?
