I earned my Bachelor's of Science in Kinesiology (Exercise Science) from Indiana University and have pursued further education in the Physical Therapist Assistant degree program at Jefferson Community and Technical College. I have experience coaching competitive gymnastics--which I love--and I have also been a drummer, D1 rower, rehabilitation technician, health educator and fitness instructor. I am most passionate about teaching science classes related to the human body, like anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, exercise science, etc. Science is my favorite subject, but I also have a passion for reading and writing. I believe that learning is a life-long skill, and embrace creating a positive and enriching learning environment. I love creating fun phrases to help my students remember concepts they struggle with. I encourage different learning styles and enjoy the challenge of exploring how students learn best so they can find lifelong success in learning.
