I am a graduate of Northern Arizona University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. After working in the mental health field for a number of years, I found that the clients I enjoyed working with the most were children. I made the switch to education and earned my teaching certification in K-12 Special Education. I have spent my teaching career with K-2 students that have had a variety of needs.
I truly believe that all students are capable of learning and growing. However, what works for one student may not work for another. An ability to build rapport, and discover a student's strengths, needs, interests, and uniqueness has been my best asset in helping students advance both academically and socially/emotionally.

I love spending time with my family! My husband and 2 children are my world and we like to keep life interesting. We enjoy playing board games, camping, sports, and any type of adventure that we can find. However, relaxing is also very important to me. During these times, I am happiest with a good book and a cup of coffee.
