I love teaching and am committed to doing it well. In the following I illustrate my experiences to help you decide if I am a good fit.
During college, I designed and taught two six week long seminars. They met for 2 hours, 4 times a week. One was in theater, the other in American Literature. My students were a group of young men from Harlem between 9th and 12th grade. I also tutored them in college essay composition, resume writing, current events, Algebra, Geometry, spelling, and grammar. My other significant tutoring experience was as a volunteer for Read Ahead. I taught an adorable 2nd grader basic reading and writing skills once a week for three months.
I received my BA in Philosophy from Columbia University and am pursuing a PostBacc in Psychology at UC Berkeley this Fall.
