I'm a recent graduate of Biola University, receiving my B.A. in Intercultural Studies (emphasis Linguistics) in 2019. I've worked as a college teaching assistant for several years, and won awards for my student writing.
I've been a lover of literature since I was 8, and was able to develop that love through the Torrey Honors College, a socratic great books reading and writing program at Biola University.
I believe that learning, including in the writing arena, is not just about absorbing facts into the brain, but developing essential human skills, like communication. I love to help others in their journey of becoming good listeners and good communicators who can express their thoughts and feelings clearly, beautifully, and naturally on paper--and out loud too. Communication is an essential skill not only for college readiness and job seeking, but for relationships and daily life.
As a tutor, I strive to listen so that I can help students where they really need it, and bring an attitude of fun with me to each session.
