I graduated from The Catholic
University of America with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I also completed the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education. I have a teaching certificate from Washington D.C. and currently have a temporary certificate from the state of New Jersey. I am employed as a kindergarten teacher, but I have experience with students ages 5-12. I believe every student is unique and that it is my job as an educator to figure out the best way to teach my students. I love to make lessons engaging through relevant topics and use whole body learning if it is what works for my student! My favorite subject is math, but I am certified to teach reading, science, and social studies as well. Beyond my skills working with children, I also have expansive knowledge in passing the Praxis Core, Subject, and Pedagogy tests for elementary and early childhood education. I have taken the Praxis both at home and in person within the past two years, so I am familiar with the current format. I would love to be able to support a future teacher in passing these exams to achieve their dream job. In my free time, I love to hike and explore nature or play with my dog!

I love being outside and exploring nature, especially at the beach! I also enjoy painting and baking new treats to share with my friends.
