Hi, I'm Autumn! I am a recent graduate of Cornell University with a degree in English and Asian Studies, and a strong passion for Computer Science in my non-academic pursuits. In the past, I have tutored for volunteer organizations and for local students in my community, as well as informally for friends who have struggled with math and science subjects.
I believe strongly that any student can succeed in any subject, and it is a teacher's responsibility to shape their methods to fit their student's needs. In the past, I have found students and friends who felt utterly hopeless in a subject, and turned around their mentality by listening carefully for the specific points at which they get lost. This requires a special insight into the way one learns and processes information, and I have honed my sense for how other people learn quite carefully.
My scores include an SAT score of 2300, Subject Test scores of 770 in Chemistry, 790 in Math 1, and 800 in Physics, and AP scores of 4 in English and 5 in Computer Science A, Physics C Mech and E&M, Calculus AB and BC, and World History.
If you think my approach to teaching would be well-suited to you, or if you have any followup questions, feel free to contact me. I hope to work with you soon!
