I grew up in Brussels, fully bilingual (English at home and French at school, with friends, outside of the home, etc.). I got my bachelor's in international business from Maastricht University in the Netherlands and a double master's in International Business from Queen's University in Canada.
As the oldest of 5 and the go-to language support person at school, I have been helping with language learning for as long as I can remember. Now, I am the Director of Business Development for a global nonprofit organization that focuses on youth exchange and connecting young people from different backgrounds and languages.
I tutor in French learning and Business.
In French, my main area of expertise is enhancing your conversational fluidity. Speaking fluidly and formulating sentences on the spot in a larger dialogue are a great sign that you are becoming fluent. I am also proficient in written French (grammar, conjugation, vocabulary), and I can tutor you in your existing French lessons, classes, and assignments. My methods are focused on immersion and balance. I can run our sessions entirely in French but you get to choose what you are comfortable with. That being said, we won't become complacent. The goal is to continuously progress, but I adapt to each person's learning path and objectives.
In Business, I was a Teaching Assistant throughout my college career and have knowledge in the fields of economics, accounting, marketing, business operations and logistics, strategy, supply chain management, HR, and international business.
Together, we will make each session fun and productive and celebrate your progress!
