With 16+ years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, I have had the privilege of working with diverse groups of students. Currently, I am an Affective Needs teacher in a center-based program. I work with students who have significant emotional disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning struggles, and autism. I provide students with instruction in Social/Emotional Learning and Mindfulness. Prior to my current position, I built an Intensive Autism program in a public school. The program's first year was successful and grew to two programs in the second year. It was during that time that I began coursework and supervision hours and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
I love providing students with the tools they need to be successful in school and life.

My husband, 4-year-old son Arlyn, and I live in Firestone, Colorado with our two little Boston Terriers, Muffin, and Stiffy. We love to travel and explore nature. In my free time, when I am not playing with my son, I enjoy playing the guitar. I recently got a banjo and have been trying to teach myself. I plan to start a Doctoral Program in the fall. I love learning and just really enjoy being a student as well as a teacher.
