I am passionate about understanding the mind and body and their connection. I studied Neuroscience at Oberlin College and am now a clinical Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a Masters of Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern Medical Center. As a part of these programs I also have education in biology, psychology, chemistry, and research writing. One of my favorite parts of working with patients and dietetic interns is helping them to find relevance in biological concepts and apply this knowledge to their personal life and interests. I love to share my passion for science as a life sciences tutor!

I am experienced in tutoring and leading group study sessions for collegiate chemistry and calculus, though these are no longer my primary areas of focus. I have extensive experience explaining nutrition concepts to patients one-on-one and teaching community nutrition classes. I also love to share my dietetic knowledge as well as clinical and food service experience with dietetic interns studying for CDR's dietitian registration exam. If I work with you on test prep, I will also help you to translate your learning into answering tricky test questions. I scored a 33 on the RD exam with equal subscores in the clinical and food service subsections. I want to help you get a great score on the RD exam as well and join me in the wonderful field of nutrition!

I am also passionate about helping people to clearly communicate their ideas in writing, whether scientific, literary, or for official applications. As a graduate of a top liberal arts college, I have experience meeting rigorous writing standards for classes across the spectrum. I also have experience volunteering for the Posse Foundation as a high school English writing coach and resume coach to help their students prepare for collegiate-level writing. As a writing tutor, I will help you to clearly state your ideas and stand out in college applications!
