I have a Bachelors of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University in Special Education: Cognitive Impairments. I double majored in Elementary Education. I also have a certificate in middle grade math, which I taught in England in 2018-2019. I have worked with children with special needs for years--from learning disabilities in math and reading, to ADHD, autism, and emotional defiance. My patience and empathy for others helps me to gain trust and respect with my students, which can take time, but is always 100% worth it. I love helping students become the best versions of themselves and inspiring them to want that for themselves as well. I have tutored student in kindergarten, first, second, and third grade. I have taught fourth grade (all core subjects), as well as 6th - 10th grade in math, and 7th and 8th grade inclusion classes (English, math, science and social studies).
