I'm Parker, a 3rd-year medical student, and along my journey, I have become an expert on how to learn. There are so many tips, tricks, and resources that I wish I knew when I was in high school, undergrad, or even just a few years ago when I started medical school. My hope is to give back and bestow that information on to you. My biggest strength is taking complex topics and breaking them down, explaining them in plain english, and providing context for why they matter. Whether it is finding a metaphor, providing a real-world example, reorganizing the information, or testing a concept with illustrative questions, my goal is to make learning more meaningful and interesting. Medicine requires a strong foundation in biology, anatomy, physiology, psychology, etc., so it's easy to give relevance to any of the topics you might be struggling with. Whether it's a complex concept, a tough homework assignment, or midterm prep, I'm happy to be in your corner to make learning a little easier.
Education & Certification
Undergraduate Degree: University of Colorado Boulder - Bachelor in Arts, Physiology
Graduate Degree: Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara - Doctor of Medicine, Premedicine
I am a nerd at heart and I have a bad habit of watching too many youtube videos about surgery and productivity enhancement. I love coffee and beer (in the process of starting homebrewing), and like to think of myself as knowing a little about a lot.
