I'm excited about becoming a physician soon and I'm sure you are too! Everyone has a different journey to get to where we are today. Mine certainly wasn't typical. But I knew it would be worthwhile because the thought of one day being a doctor gave me great pride and motivation. What I love most about medicine is the application of scientific reasoning to solving real problems that pertain to what people hold most dear: their lives and the lives of their loved ones. For this reason, when I finally began my formal medical education I made a commitment that I would do my best to study and learn not just to pass my tests, but to one day bear that great responsibility. Indeed, I believe that this is what helped me most when studying for the USMLE (255 on STEP1, 271 on STEP2 CK). Studying the science of medicine has been both captivating and fulfilling. I'm excited to share what I've learned with you.
