I am most recently an Ed.D. graduate of The University of Minnesota. I received my Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) in Special Education from St. Cloud State University in St Cloud, MN. Since my under-grad graduation, and while continuing my education, I worked extensively with students with special needs While teaching in the public school system, I taught in a broad range of subjects and disabilities. After moving into post-secondary education, I taught learners how to be paraprofessionals and child caregivers. Next, I enjoyed teaching psychology in a community college liberal art setting.
I am passionate about learning in all subject areas. In my experience, helping learners who were struggling to keep up with their peers was always a great challenge. My question to learners is/was "How can we learn this or do this in another way." I am a firm proponent of education, believing it to be absolutely necessary for an improved quality of life, and I try to impart this appreciation to all of my students. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, yoga, walking, and keeping in touch with family and dear friends.
