I'm a recent graduate of the University of Denver, where I studied English (literary studies), Spanish, and writing practices. While at University, I worked with DPS elementary and middle school students in an after-school program designed to foster self-efficacy through creative engagement with Shakespeare and his works. I've also worked as a teacher's assistant for a University level honors seminar course, in which I held office hours and led group discussions around interpretations of various higher-level texts. I value diversity, in every sense, and though many of the subjects I tutor are related to language and literature, I believe it is not only possible, but important, to meet students where they are and attend to the ways that these subjects can and do interact with their other interests. I'm passionate about language learning, and love to tutor Spanish as well as literary analysis (at all levels) and effective writing practices in both creative and critical contexts. Apart from reading and writing, I'm very much a fan of going on walks. I bake and knit and sew and am on the staff of two textual and visual arts magazines, and I believe strongly in movements that advance equity and our care for our earth.
