I graduated from Angelo State University with my Bachelors of Science degree in chemistry with a minor in biology. During this time, I tutored two years of organic chemistry for my undergraduate institution, and I private tutored general and AP chemistry. As of today, I am a graduate research assistant in a drug discovery lab pursuing my PhD in Biochemistry at Texas A&M University. I completed one year of being a teaching assistant for both biochemistry and metabolism courses for pre-professional students. From all of these teaching experiences, I have seen the alternate approaches needed to help students succeed within their given class. I aspire to improve the comprehension level of all students who entrust me to do so. I understand that chemistry is not for everyone, and I am willing to try my best to make a students chemistry experience less stressful. Whether it be High School/AP chemistry, general chemistry, organic chemistry, or biochemistry, I intend to leave the student feeling more confident and knowledgeable to take on any task thrown at them during their courses.
