I am a second-year student at Michigan State University majoring in neuroscience and minoring in bioethics. I have many years of tutoring experience as I tutored underprivileged elementary students during high school. I have extensive experience teaching students from many backgrounds with many different styles of learning. The best feeling for me is helping a student finally understand something they've been struggling with. I focus on teaching students the fundamentals because, without the fundamentals, students will never be able to apply themselves in higher subject areas. In addition, I try and incorporate relevant real-world examples and lots of applications. I teach a variety of subjects but I mainly focus on biology, physics, english, maths (calculus, algebra, statistics), as well as test prep for the SAT and ACT. I focus on these subjects because I consistently earn high grades in these classes and/or tests and have experience teaching these subjects before.
