I am a recent graduate from San Jose State University (SJSU) with a master's degree in TESOL. During my time at SJSU, I worked as an in-person and online academic writing tutor for the SJSU Writing Center. Towards the end of my time there, I worked as an in-classroom tutor, materials creator, and tutor trainer. In addition, at the start of the 2020 pandemic, I volunteered and collaborated with my professors to create an online ESL conversation course to help struggling students complete their requirements for their final semester in Spain. I am very passionate about English writing and helping others achieve their language-learning goals. I believe that good writing and communication is essential for achieving academic success. I also believe that the best way to help others, as a tutor, is to have patience, compassion, a sense of humor, and the willingness to go above and beyond to help students achieve their goals.
