My experience working with students includes 15+ years of professional teaching, tutoring, mentoring, and academic coaching. I am most passionate about supporting students with mathematical concepts, having extensive experience teaching Elementary and Middle ages, as well as High School Algebra, Geometry, and GED preparation. I also enjoy tutoring the Sciences, English Language Arts, English as a Second Language, and Spanish. My goal is to help students realize their true potential as we develop critical thinking and reasoning skills through multimodal learning. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Curriculum, Instruction and Teaching from the University of Denver with a concentration in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Learners. I also hold a Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies in Early and Elementary Education from Virginia Commonwealth University. In our sessions, we will reinforce concepts utilizing design thinking strategies, inquiry based learning, and creative problem solving. I believe education is not solely about learning objectives, but additionally being able to use said concepts in real world application.
