I am a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Since then, I have worked as a bookseller at Barnes & Noble, a mental health worker at a crisis center and as an eligibility caseworker helping patients in hospitals without insurance to obtain Medicaid. While in college, I minored in Spanish and also took classes in French and German. Languages have always been an important part of my life. I have previously tutored underprivileged children in all subjects, served as a teacher's assistant in college and most recently I tutored GED level math in Spanish. I am especially passionate about teaching English and Spanish. I am also TEFL certified. I am known to be a very kind and patient tutor, however I will also challenge my students once they are ready for it. In my spare time, I enjoy hiking, playing volleyball, baking and reading.

I am an avid Spanish learner. I dedicate hours to listening to videos and watching movies in Spanish. I am currently reading Sherlock Holmes in Spanish and watching the series Valeria on Netflix. I also do language exchanges half in Spanish and half in English once or twice a week. I love to hike and have traveled immensely. I have been to 26 countries all over the world. When I am home, I love to find new healthy recipes that I can try out. I recently found an excellent vegan chocolate cake recipe as well as a paleo chicken tikka masala that have quickly become favorites for my family.
