I graduated from Indiana University with both Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Kinesiology. I have worked in several settings that have required teaching kinesiology-related topics, including as a personal trainer helping clients move better; as the manager of a specialty running shoe store training my staff to understand and perform gait analysis and common running-related injuries; as a running and triathlon coach helping my athletes stay healthy and perform their best; and most recently as an Assistant Anatomy Instructor at the Boulder Massage Therapy Institute. I have been a massage therapist for more than four years and love helping new and aspiring massage therapists hone their craft through better understanding of the human body. My teaching style is interactive and collaborative, and I expect that students come to each session prepared and ready to engage in the subject matter. I believe that each student gets out what they put in, and is empowered to understand and master even the subjects that are most personally challenging.
