My name is Nikole Shaham and I am excited to be working with VT as your tutor. A little about me, I grew up in Southern California and moved to Tacoma, Washington for college. I attending the University of Puget Sound from 2015 - 2019 and graduated with a Bachelors in Science with a major in molecular and cellular biology and a minor in bioethics.
I am a pre-med student so I have been working as a medical scribe, showing doctors and volunteering at different hospitals and clinics. Currently I volunteer at the Neighborhood Clinic in Tacoma where I get to work with the underserved population. I love teaching our patients about their health and I also enjoy teaching the new volunteers as well. During this journey of applying for medical school, I have had the opportunity to write and edit many personal statements and secondary essays, as well as help numerous others prepare and practice for interviews. I was recently accepted into medical school and will start my medical education in July 2021.
I have always had a passion for teaching and whenever I studied with friends or family, I would always find interesting and fun ways of learning information. I am also very organized and creative and have always been able to accommodate everyone's learning style.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you with your educational goals and dreams!

More about me... I am an avid hiker and backpacker. I love running, rollerblading and ice skating and I am always active. I am a huge bookworm and am always buried in a book as much as I am binge watching an engaging TV show when I have time. I love to cook and find myself developing recipes constantly. I like adventure and am always up to try something new. You can usually find me having fun with friends or curled up at home with my two cats.
