My name is Alex, and I am a sophomore at the University of San Diego, studying Software Engineering. I love learning and will dedicate time simplifying and breaking down complex concepts to my students. I started tutoring in high school and have worked formally with students in IB Chemistry, IB Math, Precalculus, Geometry and Algebra classes for the past five years. I personalize my lessons to each student, as we all process information in different ways. If you are a visual learner, I will show you diagrams, make a list, color code formulas, and write down definition. If you are a hands-on learner: I can introduce interactive examples or ask you to help me solve problems or walk you through how to start and finish examples. Lastly, if you are an auditory learner, I can prepare a thorough mini lesson while asking you to answer questions about the material, then relate problems to real world examples. In our time together, I want students to grow in their knowledge and confidence by sharing different skills, methods, and techniques. I am open to all questions and will make myself available whenever you need help.
